SINCE 1966 THE ARTISANS 'OIL

The Fratoni family has produced and sold extra virgin olive oil for over 50 years. The olives come from the Piceno and the adjoining Aprutino areas.
Specific features regarding the production Fratoni is the use of the traditional 'cold oil pressing' system of the olives, which does not imply a rise in temperature during the machining process.
The collecting of the olives from the olive farms is personally supervised by the Fratoni family. All the olives are pressed within 12 hours of harvesting.

Emidio Fratoni, founder of the Fratoni company, and head of the family was born in 1927, and still today scrupulously supervises every phase of the production, from negotiating the purchase of the olives to the marketing of the oil.
The company was founded in Ascoli Piceno in the Brecciarolo area in the early '60s and whose origins date back to an old olive oil mill of the eighteenth century. Emidio's vast experience in the field of agriculture has allowed the oil mill to develop steadily and rapidly over the years thanks to the many sacrifices made by the entire Fratoni family.
Emidio proudly claims -'The secret of our oil is the unyielding selection of the different varieties of fruit and the nature of the land, based on an acquired knowledge which I believe I have mastered.
A sound confirmation of the Fratoni oil came about in the mid '70s with the opening of a new oil mill in Brecciarolo but still maintaining the characteristics of the family's oil making tradition.
To date the oil mill has undergone a vast expansion and continuous improvements thus consenting the Company an excellent production capacity.

The company produces a exceptional brand of oil or extra-virgin olive oil attained from the Carboncella, Leccino, Dritta, Gentile and Frantoio variety of olives. The various production phases include the cleaning and washing of the olives, the pressing with the use of granite rollers, the 'squeezing' with hydraulic presses, the separation of the oily must and the subsequent filtering of the oil, finally, the bottling according to the Italian law specifications.
